Refund Policy

Overview

AJE Journals' refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent. Processing charges are generally non-refundable once payment has been made, except under specific circumstances outlined below.

1. Eligibility for Refunds

1.1 Rejection Before Peer Review

If your manuscript is rejected during the initial editorial screening (before peer review), you may be eligible for a full refund, minus any processing fees.

1.2 Rejection After Peer Review

If your manuscript is rejected after peer review, a partial refund may be available. The amount refunded depends on the stage at which the rejection occurred:

  • After initial review: 50% refund
  • After first revision: 25% refund
  • After second revision: No refund

1.3 Technical Errors

If payment was processed in error or due to a technical issue on our part, a full refund will be issued.

2. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:

  • Author withdrawal after peer review has commenced
  • Accepted manuscripts (regardless of subsequent withdrawal)
  • Published articles
  • Change of mind or author circumstances
  • Disagreement with editorial decisions
  • Delays in the review process beyond our control

3. Refund Request Process

To request a refund:

  1. Send an email to billing@ajejournals.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line
  2. Include your manuscript ID, submission date, and reason for refund
  3. Provide proof of payment (invoice or receipt)
  4. Allow 5-10 business days for review
  5. If approved, refunds will be processed within 14 business days

4. Refund Processing Time

Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank transfers may take additional time depending on your financial institution.

5. Payment Method Refunds

  • Credit/Debit Cards: Refunded to the original card (5-10 business days)
  • Bank Transfer: Refunded to the originating account (10-14 business days)
  • PayPal: Refunded to PayPal account (3-5 business days)

6. Currency and Fees

All refunds are processed in USD. Any currency conversion fees or bank charges incurred during the refund process are the responsibility of the author.

7. Disputes and Appeals

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may appeal by providing additional documentation and explanation. Appeals will be reviewed by our billing management team within 10 business days.
